Who are we?
We’re the people who love Rockport Music. Numbering over 250 volunteers, the Friends are committed to promoting and supporting the organization’s vital role for music lovers in Rockport and beyond.

What do we do?
The Friends support Rockport Music by providing warm and welcome hospitality for our signature presentation, the Rockport Chamber Music Festival (June 10 – July 18), and our new series, Rockport Music Presents (July 24 – August 8). We also participate in off-season concerts and other activities throughout the year. In addition, we support annual concerts by assisting with fund raising. Events in which we take part include the following:

Rockport Chamber Music Festival and Rockport Music Presents. The Rockport Chamber Music Festival includes 20 concerts featuring world-renowned soloists and ensembles. Rockport Music Presents highlights the artistry of leading jazz, world music, folk, and pop artists. Free family concerts augment these musical offerings. All performances take place in our new home, the Shalin Liu Performance Center, located at 37 Main Street in downtown Rockport. Off-season concerts complement the summer performances.

Cottages & Castles. This fundraising event, scheduled for May 15, provides a peek inside some of Rockport’s most charming homes.
